It’s the opposite of a scarcity mindset, which is rooted in fear, competition, and the belief that there’s never enough to go around. When you have an abundance mindset, you operate from a place of possibility, collaboration, and trust that your efforts will be rewarded.
Stephen Covey, the author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, said, “The abundance mentality…flows out of a deep inner sense of personal worth and security. It’s the paradigm that there is plenty out there and enough to spare for everybody.” This mindset allows you to see opportunities where others see obstacles and to approach your business with confidence and creativity, knowing that there’s always more available to you.
But here’s the thing: an abundance mindset isn’t something you just switch on overnight. It’s a practice, a daily commitment to choosing belief over fear, opportunity over lack, and action over hesitation. And it’s the mindset that saved my life, literally, when I faced the biggest battle of my life: overcoming stage 4 cancer.
Let me share a bit of my journey that completely changed how I approach life and business. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. In an instant, everything I thought I knew about success, hustle, and grinding it out was flipped upside down. I went from focusing on building my business and pushing through every challenge to suddenly facing a battle for my life.
The diagnosis was devastating. It was one of those moments where everything stops, and you’re forced to confront your deepest fears. I remember the doctor telling me I had a long road ahead, and I knew I had a choice to make: I could succumb to fear and scarcity, or I could choose to fight with everything I had, embracing life with an abundance mindset like never before.
I decided to choose abundance—not just in my healing but in every aspect of my life. I focused on gratitude for each day, the joy of small moments, and the belief that no matter how dire things seemed, there was always hope, always possibility. This mindset didn’t just help me in my recovery—it transformed how I saw my business, my clients, and my purpose. I realized that so much of the struggle I had been facing in my business was rooted in fear: fear of not having enough, fear of failing, and fear of losing what I’d built.
But when you’re faced with something as life-altering as cancer, you start to see things differently. You understand that abundance isn’t just about money or success—it’s about how you approach every single day. It’s about believing that there’s always more: more time, more opportunities, more love, and more chances to make an impact.
This mindset shift allowed me to rebuild my business from a place of abundance. I stopped chasing clients and started attracting them by showing up with a giving heart and an open mind. I started to see that the same scarcity mindset that almost destroyed me in my health battle was the same mindset that holds so many coaches back in their businesses. When you’re stuck in scarcity, you play small, you doubt yourself, and you never fully step into the potential that’s waiting for you.
Today, my business is thriving. The Perpetual Clients System I created allowed me to reach thousands more potential leads, book consistent appointments with qualified prospects, and help over 500 clients build $250,000 lifestyle coaching businesses. And yes, I’ve earned millions in the process. But the real win? It’s knowing that I’ve shifted from fear to faith, from scarcity to abundance, and I’m here to help you do the same.

They play it safe, avoid risks, and keep their prices low because they’re afraid of losing clients.
But the truth is, this scarcity mindset is the biggest barrier to creating the lifestyle business you want. When you operate from fear, you make decisions that keep you small. You turn down opportunities, hesitate to invest in yourself, and ultimately, you hold yourself back from reaching your true potential.

Instead of getting stuck in a “why me” mindset, you look for the lessons, pivot quickly, and find creative solutions. 3. It Fosters Collaboration Over Competition: When you embrace abundance, you stop seeing other coaches as competition and start seeing them as potential partners. This shift opens doors to collaborations, referrals, and mutually beneficial relationships that can exponentially grow your business.

When you show up with abundance, you’re not desperate for the next sale; you’re focused on serving, providing value, and truly helping them achieve their goals. Wayne Dyer, one of the most well-known self-help authors, said, “Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune into.” The beauty of this mindset is that it’s available to everyone. It’s not about what you have; it’s about how you think.
Let’s dive into the stories of three of my amazing clients who’ve experienced the power of an abundance mindset firsthand.
Brian’s Story – From Scarcity to Abundance: Transforming His Business Mindset. Brian came to me struggling to grow his coaching business. He was constantly worried about where his next client would come from and often felt like there was never enough time, money, or opportunity. This scarcity mindset was holding him back from taking risks and putting himself out there. When we started working together, we focused on shifting his mindset from fear to abundance. We worked on his daily habits, affirmations, and visualizations, focusing on the endless possibilities available to him.
