By the end of this episode, you’ll understand why gratitude isn’t just an emotion but an energetic frequency, and how meditation helps you live in that frequency more consistently. Today, I’m inviting you to go on a deeper journey with me. We’re going to dive into the power of gratitude—and not just on a surface level—but as a force that can completely shift your business. And when you pair that with meditation, you unlock something truly transformative. I’m excited to share my personal experience, as well as some incredible shifts I’ve seen in my clients when they embraced this combination.
We’ve all heard the phrase, “Gratitude is the attitude.” But here’s the thing: gratitude isn’t just a mental state; it’s an energetic frequency. Ancient wisdom has taught us this for thousands of years. Across cultures, gratitude has been viewed as a pathway to connect with the divine, with the universe, with your higher self—whatever resonates with you.
In ancient Hindu and Buddhist teachings, gratitude is seen as one of the most powerful forms of meditation itself. It’s not just about being thankful for what you have, but about aligning your energy with abundance. The Vedic texts speak of gratitude as a way to become one with the universe’s creative energy, tapping into a flow that’s bigger than us, yet always available.
The Stoics also knew the value of gratitude. Marcus Aurelius, the Roman Emperor and philosopher, constantly reminded himself in his journal to be grateful for the challenges he faced. Why? Because gratitude transforms adversity into opportunity. It shifts the mind from “Why is this happening to me?” to “What is this teaching me?”
Now let’s bring this ancient wisdom into the modern world. Science is catching up to what these ancient masters have been saying for centuries. Neuroscientific studies show that gratitude changes the brain in profound ways. It strengthens neural pathways that increase resilience, reduce anxiety, and boost the production of dopamine and serotonin—your brain’s natural feel-good chemicals. This is what allows us to break free from cycles of fear, scarcity, and doubt.
Dr. Joe Dispenza, a leader in neuroscience and quantum physics, talks about gratitude as the “signature of the new mind.” When you practice gratitude, your body doesn’t know the difference between a memory and a current experience. You begin to feel the emotions of success, abundance, and joy before they happen. And that, my friends, is the ultimate hack for manifesting your desires.
When you are in a state of gratitude, you’re vibrating at a higher frequency. You’re more open to inspiration, solutions, and aligned opportunities. That’s why gratitude isn’t just a mental practice—it’s an energetic tool that shapes your reality.
There was a time when I was hustling—doing all the things I thought I was supposed to do to grow my business. I was grinding, stressing, and constantly chasing the next thing. It felt like no matter how hard I worked, there was always something missing. I wasn’t tapping into the energy of abundance, I was running on fear, and the results in my business reflected that.
One morning, after a particularly tough week, I decided to try something different. Instead of focusing on all the things that were stressing me out, I sat down and wrote about what I was grateful for. And not just in a “check-the-box” kind of way. I really felt it. I let myself sit with the emotions of gratitude for my health, for Teresa, for the handful of clients I had at the time, for the freedom to live in Steamboat and ski every winter.
As I did this consistently, something shifted. I started feeling abundant, even before my business had fully caught up with that feeling. Opportunities that I had been pushing for started coming to me more naturally. Clients I had been trying to reach out to suddenly found their way to me. It was like the energy I was putting out—the energy of gratitude and trust—was finally being matched by the universe.
Gratitude was my catalyst. It wasn’t about what I was doing in the external world; it was about how I was showing up internally.
Let me take you deeper into some client stories—real people who experienced this same energetic shift.
Jen was running her business with a scarcity mindset. She was constantly worried there weren’t enough clients, that her services weren’t “good enough.” The stress of that energy was not only wearing her down, but it was also driving potential clients away. You can feel that energy, right? When someone is trying so hard but operating from a place of fear, it repels the very things they want.
We introduced a daily gratitude meditation for her, and within a month, she was showing up differently. Every morning, Jen would sit in stillness, close her eyes, and breathe deeply. She visualized her ideal clients and practiced gratitude for them before they even came. She would say things like, “I am so grateful for the perfect clients who are already on their way to me.”
And guess what happened? Her calendar started filling up. Not only did she get more clients, but the ones she got were aligned with her mission. This wasn’t just luck. This was gratitude in action—her energy shifted, and the universe responded.
Another client, Julie was overwhelmed by her success, and it was blocking her growth. She was terrified that she couldn’t handle more clients, even though she had built a solid foundation. I introduced her to the gratitude-meditation combination. Together, we created a morning practice where she would meditate for 10 minutes, focusing on deep breaths and imagining herself handling her growing business with ease, while feeling grateful for each step.
She began to express gratitude not just for the clients she had, but for the systems she’d put in place, for the opportunities that were already coming, and even for the challenges that were making her stronger. This shift in perspective opened up space for her to hire more support and scale her business without the fear of overwhelm.
Finally, Ann came to me feeling stuck in self-doubt. She felt like an imposter in her own coaching business, and that energy was holding her back from attracting clients. We worked on cultivating gratitude for her unique skills, for the journey she had already been on, and even for the people who had yet to come into her business.
Each night, before going to bed, Ann started practicing gratitude visualization. She would visualize her future business thriving, the impact she was making, and the joy her clients were experiencing—and she would feel the gratitude in her heart as though it was already happening. That shift in energy from doubt to gratitude completely transformed her confidence. She started attracting clients who resonated with her story, and her business began to grow exponentially.
Gratitude on its own is powerful, but when you combine it with meditation, you tap into something even more profound. Meditation gives you the space to feel gratitude at a deeper level, creating an energetic alignment that transcends the mental and goes straight to the core of your being.
When you meditate, your brainwaves slow down. You move from the highly active beta state (where stress and worry often reside) into the more relaxed alpha state. This shift allows you to access deeper layers of your subconscious mind. In this state, the practice of gratitude becomes not just a thought, but an embodied experience.
The more time you spend in meditation—feeling gratitude for what you have and what’s on its way—the more you rewire your brain for success. Dr. Joe Dispenza calls this “firing and wiring” new neural pathways. You’re literally teaching your brain to seek out more of what you’re grateful for. And because meditation quiets the mind, it helps you dissolve the noise of fear, anxiety, and doubt.
Here’s a practice I want you to try, starting today. This is a powerful combination of gratitude and meditation that can create a massive shift in your energy, your business, and your life.
Find a Quiet Space. Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths, in through your nose and out through your mouth. Allow your body to relax fully, releasing any tension from the day.
Focus on your breath. As you inhale, imagine that you’re breathing in peace, calm, and gratitude. As you exhale, let go of any stress, fear, or tension. Continue this cycle for a few minutes until you feel fully centered.
Now, bring to mind something in your life that you are deeply grateful for. It could be your health, your relationships, your current clients, or even the opportunity to build your business. Picture it in your mind’s eye and feel the gratitude expand in your heart.
Next, shift your focus to your future success. Imagine your business thriving. Visualize clients reaching out to work with you, your income growing, and the impact you’re making on the world. As you see these things in your mind, feel gratitude for them as though they’ve already happened. Let yourself experience that future gratitude now.
Sit in the feeling of gratitude for a few moments, letting it fill every cell of your body. When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes, carry that energy into your day, and watch how your external world shifts to match your internal frequency.
Beyond meditation, here are three practical steps to deepen your gratitude practice every day:
1. Gratitude Journaling with Depth. Don’t just write “I’m grateful for my business.” Go deep. Write about why you’re grateful, how it impacts your life, and what it allows you to create. This practice amplifies the feeling of gratitude, which in turn amplifies the results you see.
2. Gratitude for Challenges. Next time something goes wrong, pause. Instead of immediately reacting, ask yourself, “What’s the gift here?” There is always a lesson, a hidden blessing in every challenge. Gratitude for those lessons builds resilience and turns adversity into opportunity.
3. Express Gratitude to Others. Every week, reach out to someone—a client, a mentor, a friend—and express genuine gratitude. Tell them how much they mean to you or how they’ve impacted your journey. This not only strengthens your relationships but also expands the ripple effect of gratitude in your life.
Gratitude isn’t just a mindset—it’s a way of being. And when you combine it with meditation, you create a powerful energy field that attracts more of what you want in life and business. By consciously practicing gratitude, you dissolve fear, align with abundance, and open the door for success to flow into your life effortlessly.
Thank you for joining me today, and as always, I am deeply grateful for each of you. Let’s keep growing, thriving, and living in gratitude. Until next time!
